1. The owner of the blog must update his/her blog frequently. Once a day would be perfect. Joy, Daigo, and Shokotan update their blogs like crazy!

2. I'm a sucker for shame (shashin me-ru or picture mail or picture message or whatever you'd call it). I don't actually find 100% text posts attractive.

3. emoji or emoticons are attractive.
