I love Unubore Deka!!!

I first heard about 'Unubore Deka' when the guys promoted their drama in Himitsu no Arashi-chan. It was the very first Mannequin 5 where Arashi went against co-JE idols - Nagase Tomoya and Ikuta Toma.

I made a mental note to watch the drama. So when I ran out of good stuff to watch, I searched for it in DA. 3 episodes were already available for grabbing. I grabbed them all... and I'm going to watch it til the last episode!

I love the story and I definitely love the actors!

Nagase Tomoya's role a.k.a 'Unubore' is so funny. He plays a single detective who is actively in search for the right woman. Possibly born with police instincts, his heart flutters whenever he comes across a woman criminal but mistakes the feeling as love. He gets to know them as prospective partners while unintentionally gathering information leading to their conviction. He later on realizes that he has been dating a criminal but because he strongly believes that what he feels is love, while in his white 'arrest' suit, he offers the women a warrant of arrest and a marriage contract. Because the women are naturally good, they decline his offer for marriage and choose imprisonment. Will he ever find someone who will take the marriage contract instead? That's something to look forward to. And I must say Unubore is so annoying but he makes me laugh out loud!

Ikuta Toma plays 'Unubore' in the drama 'Unubore Deka' in the drama 'Unubore Deka'. Haha. Not a typo! Toma plays a homeless actor who luckily gets the lead role in a drama called 'Unubore Deka' within the drama. So it's like a drama within a drama. Unubore's dad writes a book about his son and the book gets shown as a drama where Ikuta acts as the Unubore detective. So if the real Unubore in the drama is annoying, Toma is doubly annoying but funny.

Bando Mitsugoro plays an expert in love who, himself, isn't so great at it. He is in love with 'mama', the owner of the bar where they usually hang out (Nagase, Toma, Jun, Yahagi, Bando collectively known as the "Unubore 5"), who never fails to tell her but always gets turned down. He serves as the adviser of the other men who hang out in the bar.

Kaname Jun plays a pastry chef who always has a box of 'tutti fruties' whenever he comes down to the bar.

Yahagi Ken plays a photographer who is a fan of 'artistically' taken nude photos.

Bando, Kaname, Toma, and Yahagi make up the support group for Nagase in his journey towards finding his one true love. The only problem is that, they are one and the same. They are all conceited. Being the guys that they are, they fail to see the bigger picture. Thanks to the bartender who never misses to show them something he sees from outside of the box.
