[Rating - KMovie] Welcome to Dongmakgol

Point system:
Excellent = 2
Good = 1.5
Okay = 1
Didn't like = 0

Rating:

Cast:
Acting: 2/2
- Felt so real.
Chemistry: 2/2
(If the lead actors were suited for the roles.)
- Perfect fit. I can't imagine other actors and faces playing the roles.

Story:
Coherence: 2/2
(Are there missing links? Does the story feel incomplete?)
Interest: 1.5/2
(Was it interesting enough to make me stick up to the end without clicking on the fast forward button?)
- The first 30 minutes was boring. But the rest was amazing.
Reality: 1.5/2

(Was the story based on a true-to-life experience? If it's a fiction movie, am I convinced that it could happen in real life?)
- The convincing power of this movie is so strong that I didn't feel like it's something that will never happen in real life. Though it was partly fantasy, I didn't feel my skeptical self kicking in.
Inspiration: 2/2

(Did the movie inspire me to do things or to become better? Was the story touching?)
- The villagers inspired me to live a simpler life. The movie taught me that I don't need to be satisfied just to be happy. What I need is to be contented with what I have and choose to be happy without asking for more.
Compactness: 1.5/2

(Did every second matter to the movie? Did I ffw?)
Effect: 2/2

(Did the movie make me laugh/cry/angry/fall in love?)
- It made me wish for innocence. Sometimes I think that life would be simpler if we just made it that way.
- I also laughed a few times coz some scenes were really funny.

Soundtrack: 1.5/2
(2: I loved the songs used, 1.5: the scoring was great for the movie but I don't personally like them, 1: the movie had some music. 0: no soundtrack)

Cinematography: 1.5/2
(How the film was shot based on the basic elements of cinematography.)

Recommend: 2/2
(2: Highly Recommended, 1.5: Recommended, 1: Recommended to those who are thinking of giving it a try, 0: Please don't watch it)
This is a movie that I think everyone would appreciate. After seeing some North vs South Korea war movies, I think this movie is a breath of fresh air. It tackles the same issues between the communists and anti-communists but the movie projects it in a rather peaceful manner.
It's a lot better than what I expected. I loved the popcorn scene and the wild boar scene.

Total Score: 4.4/5
